I wanted to take a minute to post about our foster process. About this time last year Big D and I decided to take the leap to becaome adoptive parents and do so by going throught the foster care system. So we went to an informational meeting and went for it. We had our first walk through I think in September and have been working and waiting and more waiting since then. Well we are "hopefully" about at the end of this crazy process, or should I say the beginnning. We have been waiting on Big D's smudged fingerprints to get approved. His first set was bad, his second set has been in limbo for th last 6 months, but they seem to have surfaced and are traveling to the hands of our DHS worker right now! She is hopeful that Monday we should be able to move forward and so am I. Alot has changed in the past year that have changed our vision for what this process will look like. In the beginning our plan was for preteen age kids. But today our plan is much more looking towards younger possibly a baby. We are just praying for God's will and wisdom in our choices! i will let you know how monday goes! :)

On another note, we have been having a busy summer. It seems like we have been doing and going alot. Big D and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. Wow! We spent the day as a family at a local wildlife safari. We all had a blast! It really seemed fitting to celebrate this big day with our kiddos! D and I did get to go out to dinner and do a little shopping alone that evening thanks to a great friend! We are excited to see what this new decade will bring to our lives! The last one has been great!
